Cracker is our new gelding. We saw him when we went to Cumbria for the breed show (2004) and there was something about him that made us want to take him home, even though we were supposed to be looking at fillys!
Although Cracker was very under weight when we saw him we could see a star of the future in him. He was finding life out on the fells very hard and so we decided he would be better 'down south'.
Cracker is kind and loving and a real character and he has the longest mane we have ever seen! He has 8 and a half inches of flat bone already!
He is now putting on weight and filling out. I plan to keep a 'Cracker diary' of his progress, so watch this space!.
If he puts on enough condition by next summer, we may take him to a few shows for experience.
The photos from the 8th one to the 14th one were taken 8 weeks after Cracker arriving at our house. We can't believe the change in him! He's a fantastic pony.
Photos 15 to 18 were taken today, 6th January 2005. He's doing so well and starting to learn Parelli, which he is taking to like a duck to water!
Photos 19 to 23 were taken on 9th January 2005.
