Rundales Garry, known at home as 'Dylan', is a fine example of a Fell Pony stallion. He stands at approx 13.1hh, has a good 9 inches of quality flat bone, a beautiful pony head, excellent conformation and a lovely, kind temperament. He has fantastic action with a lovely ground covering walk and a forward going trot. Dylan was recently made Champion Fell Pony at the Native Pony Association Of Cornwall Breed Show. He was also 'Best Stallion' and qualified for the NPA of Cornwall 'Champion of Champions' to be held in Sept 2004. At the Royal Cornwall County show this year (2004), he was 3rd out of 11, shown in the 4 year old and over in-hand Fell Pony class. He was the highest placed stallion and highest placed 4 year old. He was beaten by two lovely older mares, so we were very pleased and proud of him. Dylan is a very laid back stallion, he runs all year with his mares and foals and is always kind and gentle to them. He is very good with visitors and doesn't mind people in his field with the mares and foals. Dylan has recently started long reining and enjoys this very much, we hope to back him this summer and bring him out under saddle next year. 2004 saw the arrival of his first foals, Copperbeech Charles , Copperbeech Connor , Copperbeech Cameron. All the foals seem to have Dylans lovely kind nature and correct conformation, Cameron in particular seems so far to have all the good features of his sire. We have now backed Dylan and he is riding out well and enjoying it very much. Hes very keen to work and always has ears forward and a swing in his stride. 2005 saw the arrival of his second foals Copperbeech Crispin , Copperbeech Constance , Copperbeech Chester. Dylans first show of 2005 was Royal Cornwall County show, he did very well and was placed 2nd in the 4yr old and over Fell Pony class. Once again he was the highest placed stallion. He then went on to take the Reserve Fell Championship. Dylan swept the board at Dunster Fell Pony show yesterday (July 27th 2005). He was 1st in the stallion class, then Adult Champion and then SUPREME Champion of the show! We are delighted with these results and very proud of him. 2006 This year Dylan is being produced by Lucy Booth. Lucy is doing a great job with him in the short time she has had him. Together they have so far done a dressage test and two shows. Check our show results page for 2006 to keep track of his ridden career! Today (2nd May 2006) saw the arrival of Dylans first 2006 foal! Copperbeech Casper out of Brackenbank Elizabeth. The Royal Cornwall Show 2006. Dylan was 3rd in the Fells, Dales and Highlands HOYS qualifier! He did and excellent show and really impressed the judges! Not bad for a first season showing under saddle! November 2006. Dylan has gone to live with Kirsty in Middlesex. She has an exciting 2007 planned for him with plenty of variety- some showing, some pleasure rides, some working hunter, so watch this space! | ||||||
